Boiler Hydrocarbon Oil Sludge Remover is a specialized industrial cleaning chemical designed to remove hydrocarbon oil, sludge, grease, carbonaceous deposits, and oily contaminants from boiler systems, heating equipment, hot-water systems, and associated pipelines.
Oil contamination inside boilers can reduce heat-transfer efficiency, increase fuel consumption, restrict water circulation, and contribute to operational problems. A suitable hydrocarbon sludge remover helps dissolve and disperse these deposits, supporting efficient boiler operation and routine maintenance.
BOILER SLUDGE CONDITIONER is a product to be used in situations where the boiler water is contaminated with oil. This high performance product is applicable to both medium and low-pressure steam boilers in order to prevent sludge deposits.
Boiler Hydrocarbon Oil Sludge Remover is a formulated cleaning agent designed to break down and disperse oil-based sludge and hydrocarbon deposits that accumulate on internal surfaces of boilers and heating systems.
It can be used as part of planned boiler cleaning and maintenance programs where oil contamination has entered the boiler water or accumulated in low-flow areas, mud drums, pipelines, heat exchangers, and related equipment.
Â
Depending on the formulation, the cleaner may contain solvents, surfactants, emulsifiers, dispersants, alkaline builders, or other specialty ingredients selected to improve the removal of hydrocarbon contamination.
Â
A. Dosing Procedure Regularly, a volume of 100 ml of the BOILER SLUDGE CONDITIONER should be applied for every ton of water capacity, where oil contamination exists. How ever, in systems where severe oil contamination exists, off-line cleaning is required before the product can be applied. There after, the application should be repeated daily, for a period of two weeks, until oil removal is complete.Â
B. Feeding Procedure Feed directly to the boiler by using a bypass pot feeder or a suitable chemical injection pump. For low-pressure boilers the solution may be applied to the hot well or the condensate return tank.Â
Note that BOILER SLUDGE CONDITIONER can be applied as it is or dissolved with other boiler treatment products.Â
SAFETY AND HANDLING HANDLING Handle with care. Store in a dry, cool and well ventilated environment.
CHARACTERISTICS, ADVANTAGES & APPLICATIONS -Â
Drives to the coagulation of the oil droplets and their removal by blow-down. -Â
May be combined with other boiler water treatment products. -Â
Efficiently prevents the deposition of sludge. -Â
Easy to apply and use.Â
The product can be used for cleaning boilers contaminated with hydrocarbon oil and oily sludge. Proper cleaning can help restore heat-transfer surfaces and improve boiler-water circulation.
Oil and hydrocarbon deposits can reduce heat-transfer efficiency. Specialized cleaning formulations can help remove oily contamination from suitable heat-exchanger surfaces.
Industrial steam boilers may require periodic cleaning when oil contamination affects boiler-water quality or internal surfaces.
Hydrocarbon sludge removers can also be used in selected hot-water heating systems where oil contamination has accumulated.
Oily deposits can accumulate in circulation lines, low-flow areas, valves, and associated equipment. A suitable chemical cleaning program can help loosen and disperse these contaminants.
In marine applications, boiler systems can experience contamination from fuel oil, lubricants, and other hydrocarbons. Boiler hydrocarbon sludge remover can be used as part of a planned marine boiler cleaning and maintenance program, subject to equipment and material compatibility.

Hydrocarbon contamination can enter boiler systems through several sources, including:
Fuel or oil leakage
Contaminated feedwater
Mechanical seal leakage
Lubricating oil contamination
Poor water-quality control
Oil entering through heat exchangers
Inadequate boiler-water treatment
Accumulation of suspended oily contaminants
When oil comes into contact with hot boiler surfaces, it can form sticky deposits and sludge. These deposits may combine with scale, corrosion products, and suspended solids to create difficult-to-remove fouling.
A properly formulated Boiler Hydrocarbon Oil Sludge Remover can provide several operational benefits:
Removes hydrocarbon oil and oily sludge
Helps dissolve and disperse greasy deposits
Assists in restoring heat-transfer efficiency
Helps improve water circulation
Reduces accumulation of oily contaminants
Supports preventive boiler maintenance
Suitable for industrial and marine boiler cleaning
Can help reduce manual cleaning requirements
Useful for periodic chemical cleaning programs
The cleaning mechanism depends on the specific formulation. Generally, surfactants and emulsifiers help penetrate oily deposits, while solvents or other cleaning agents can soften and dissolve hydrocarbon residues.
Dispersing agents help keep loosened contaminants suspended in the cleaning solution so that they can be removed during draining, flushing, or circulation.
For heavy contamination, a combination of chemical cleaning, circulation, controlled temperature, and mechanical flushing may provide better results than chemical treatment alone.
The exact dosage and procedure should always be determined from the product's Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and the condition of the boiler.
A typical chemical-cleaning program may involve:
Inspecting the boiler and identifying the source of hydrocarbon contamination.
Isolating the equipment according to the manufacturer's safety procedure.
Draining or preparing the system as required.
Adding the recommended quantity of hydrocarbon sludge remover.
Circulating the cleaning solution for the specified period.
Monitoring temperature, pH, and cleaning progress where applicable.
Draining the contaminated cleaning solution.
Thoroughly flushing the system with clean water.
Inspecting the cleaned surfaces before returning the boiler to service.
The actual procedure should be adapted to the boiler design, contamination level, metallurgy, water volume, and chemical formulation.
Before using any boiler hydrocarbon sludge remover, check:
Boiler construction materials
Metal and alloy compatibility
Existing boiler coating or lining
Recommended chemical concentration
Operating temperature
Cleaning duration
Wastewater disposal requirements
Manufacturer's cleaning instructions
SDS and technical documentation
A compatibility test is recommended when the chemical is being introduced into an unfamiliar boiler system or when sensitive materials are present.
Marine boilers require reliable heat-transfer and water-circulation performance. Hydrocarbon contamination from fuel, lubricating oil, or other sources can create deposits that interfere with boiler operation.
For shipboard applications, a specialized marine boiler hydrocarbon sludge remover can be incorporated into planned maintenance procedures to remove oil and sludge contamination while minimizing downtime.
It is important to identify and eliminate the source of oil contamination before chemical cleaning; otherwise, deposits may quickly return.
When sourcing a boiler sludge remover, industrial and marine customers should consider:
Cleaning performance against hydrocarbon sludge
Compatibility with boiler metallurgy
Recommended dosage
Technical specifications
SDS and TDS availability
Packaging options
Bulk supply capability
Technical support
Reliable delivery
Application-specific recommendations
A professional industrial chemical supplier can recommend the appropriate cleaning chemistry based on the type and severity of contamination.
Boiler Hydrocarbon Oil Sludge Remover is an important maintenance chemical for removing oil, hydrocarbon sludge, grease, and oily deposits from boilers, heating systems, heat exchangers, pipelines, and related equipment.
Regular inspection and appropriate chemical cleaning can help maintain clean heat-transfer surfaces, efficient circulation, and reliable boiler performance. For severe contamination, the cleaning program should be designed according to the boiler manufacturer's recommendations and the chemical supplier's technical instructions.
